Lazing about, sun and bathing
Lazing about on the beach in the sunshine, when the incoming tide leaves poodles in the sand for the little ones to enjoy. Then, fighting with the big waves which reach the top of the beach, what a treat ! The gregarious and noisy swimmers all enjoy wallowing in the waves. Then, full up with sun and salt, they don't want to come out of the water !
Those who appreciate warm sand, can choose between three beaches :
. Barneville-beach, a large family beach, is supervised from 1st July to 31st August in an area marked by buoys. There is a beach-club for young children.
. The Carteret beach, facing south and sheltered by the cliff, is also supervises in July and August in a limited area.
. The beach beneath the old church, to the North of the Carteret cape, is wild and very long (it goes as far as the Rozel point) is not supervised. It is a very special place to practice speed-saling and sand-yachting. One can walk peacefully along the dunes which belong to the "Conservatoire du Littoral".
